Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Nudge (the "site") collects and how it is used. Nudge is a free daily word game. It has no accounts and doesn't ask for your name or email.
What we store
When you first visit, the site gives your browser a random anonymous ID in a cookie. We use it only to remember your moves for today's puzzle, to keep you from replaying a puzzle you've finished, and to show your stats and streak. The words you play are stored on our server against that ID. The ID isn't linked to your name, email or any other personal detail. If you clear your cookies, the site will treat you as a new player.
Like most web servers, ours may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
Analytics
To understand how many people play and which pages they use, the site uses Google Analytics. It collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser, and the pages you view, with IP addresses anonymized. For visitors in the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies are switched off by default. You can opt out everywhere with Google's browser add-on.
Advertising
The site may show ads served by third parties, such as Google. These companies may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads and measure how they perform. Depending on where you are and your settings, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. You can learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of many third-party ad networks at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
Children
The site isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
You can delete the site's cookie at any time in your browser settings. You can also block cookies, though the game may not remember your progress if you do.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
